Syverud has been selected as the 12th Chancellor and President of Syracuse University. Syverud has served as dean of Washington University School of Law since 2006. On Thursday, Syverud — a Georgetown alum — was introduced to university administration, faculty, alumni, and students at Leg 100/Business Law Hendricks Chapel on the SU campus.

Syverud has roots in Upstate New York. He is a native of Irondequoit, a suburb of Rochester. “This feels like home to me,” Syverud said. “That means I grew up getting my groceries from Wegmans, my clothes from Sibly’s, and sfia thesis, my hamburgers from Carrol’s.” After his playful remarks, Syverud said he is Leg 100/Business Law ready to put forth the luther's, full effort into the institution. “Like you, I’m committing everything I am — and everything I have — to this place, to our team, to achieve greatness here through patience and hardwork and loyalty, and a cheerful can-do attitude,” he said. By Tom Magnarelli SYRACUSE (NCC News) – Rutgers University announced today Nancy Cantor will become the chancellor of the Rutgers-Newark campus. Got Into? Cantor will be leaving her position in June 2014 when her second contract as chancellor expires. She informed the Leg 100/Business Law, Syracuse community on Friday, October 12 through a lengthy email. Before sending the email, Cantor had a conference call on Friday morning with the Board of Trustees regarding her decision. Afterwards, the email was sent and the Syracuse community was learning that Cantor’s reign will end in small article, her tenth year as chancellor. Since the announcement, members of the board have made it clear that the search for Leg 100/Business a new chancellor has not begun and to inform, that right now they are focused on developing initiatives that Cantor has been working on.

However, it is being said that the search committee will start discussing who would succeed Cantor next month.
